BPR was built because we were frustrated by affiliate sites that ranked poker rooms based on commission rates rather than actual quality. Our mission is simple: give recreational and professional players the honest, data-driven information they need to find the best poker room for their game.

Jake Morrison has been playing poker professionally since 2009, accumulating over 50,000 hours of play at stakes ranging from $0.05/$0.10 micro-stakes up to $50/$100 high stakes. He won a WSOP Circuit ring in 2013 and has played in 12 World Series of Poker events.
Jake founded BPR after realising that most poker review sites were written by marketers — not players. Every room on this site has been tested with real money by Jake personally. The ratings reflect his professional opinion, informed by 15+ years of industry experience.
Jake's expertise spans cash games (NLHE, PLO), tournaments (MTT, SNG), and site selection (traffic analysis, rakeback structures, software quality). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh, which informs his analytical approach to poker theory and odds analysis.
How We Review Poker Rooms
Every review on BPR follows the same rigorous, independent testing process. No room can pay for a better rating or featured placement.
Real Money Account
We create a real-money account and deposit our own funds. No free credits or sponsored accounts.
Minimum 100 Hours of Play
We log at least 100 hours of cash game play at the appropriate stakes for that site.
Six Category Scoring
We rate the room across 6 weighted categories: games, software, bonuses, traffic, cashouts, and support.
Cashout Test
We withdraw funds and document the time, method, and any friction encountered.
Support Contact
We contact customer support with specific questions to test response time and quality.
Independent Verification
Claims about bonuses, rakeback, and licenses are verified against official sources.
Rating Methodology
Our overall rating is a weighted composite of six sub-categories. Weights reflect what matters most to regular players:
