PokerStars Review 2026

PokerStars now needs a product choice before a bonus comparison. UK customers use PokerStars on Betfair; Ontario has a separate FanDuel poker route, and the international .com service retains its own agreement and offers. Start with the account you can use, then compare the format, table cost and permitted software.

UK, North America and the international site

The August launch announcement introduced the UK route. The current Betfair migration FAQ, Page edition: October 2026, gives the action now: use your existing Betfair account if you already had one; otherwise use the transferred PokerStars credentials and accept Betfair’s terms. Existing Betfair users can access the old Stars cashier until 5 November 2026, after which withdrawals go through PokerStars Support.

The North American announcement concerns local products. Ontario’s iGaming Ontario directory, listed as accurate 1 September 2026 and checked 19 October, includes poker.fanduel.ca; play requires age 19+ and physical presence in Ontario. That is separate from the international location restrictions.

Which company holds your account?

The international .com agreement names TSG Interactive Gaming Europe Ltd for real-money services and gives MGA/B2C/213/2011. Stars Mobile is the separate play-money contracting company.

For Betfair poker, section 11 of Betfair’s terms names PPB Entertainment Limited. Its UKGC account 39426 has an active remote casino licence and the domain register lists www.betfair.com. The legacy Stars Interactive record and its domain list are different records; they do not replace the Betfair agreement after migration.

Rewards depend on the client

The international Rewards programme has opt-in, six regular Chest levels and a rolling 28-day progression period. Its Blue level lists 2,000 points for a $3 Chest; regular levels run from 15% to 40%. Unopened Chests expire after 30 days. Those are international programme conditions, not Betfair’s new schedule.

UK Betfair uses Stack+. Opt in once; each $0.01 of qualifying rake or tournament fees earns one point. At 500 monthly points, equivalent to $5 in fees, Level 2 starts paying game-dependent rates: 7.5% on regular cash games, 10% on Spin & Go, Zoom and All-In Poker, and 5% on other poker. Higher levels apply to future qualifying play, not earlier fees. Points reset at 00:00 UTC each calendar month; a reached level lasts through the next month. Claim available cash in the widget or receive the automatic monthly credit, without playthrough.

Compare the event you would enter

For tournaments, write down the entry, fee, starting time and maximum additional entries you intend to buy. A series name cannot answer that. The beginner guide and glossary explain the terminology before you commit to an entry.

For cash, look at occupied seats in your chosen format and stake. A whole-brand daily count would not answer that question. Software permissions deserve the same specificity: a study tool used after play may be treated differently while the client is open.

Cashier routes after the UK move

For UK Betfair, withdrawal help estimates 2–5 working days for standard card withdrawals. Apple Pay withdrawals require a card previously used to deposit through Apple Pay on Betfair. The migration FAQ separately says Pay by Bank withdrawals require a prior deposit using that method on Betfair; an old Stars payment setup may need to be added again. Use the selected cashier route for its transaction limits and charges, rather than applying the card estimate to another method.

For the international product, the rake estimator compares recorded fees with received rewards. Its result is a fee estimate, not a prediction of table winnings.

The decision

For an existing UK customer, settle the account transition first. For another eligible market, compare the actual local product’s schedule and reward conditions with an alternative in our comparison guides or room directory. Australian readers should exclude the international real-money product from that shortlist.

The international first-deposit match

The international STARS600 terms, Page edition: October 2026, offer eligible first-time depositors a 100% match up to $600, with a $10 minimum for the USD route. In that currency, $1 of qualifying rake or tournament fees earns five redemption points; 75 points release $5. Releasing $100 therefore needs 1,500 points, or $300 in qualifying fees. The release period is four months. Qualifying play must start within 120 days. Up to three qualifying deposits must fit within 60 days of the first. A withdrawal stops later deposits qualifying, while earlier qualifying deposits remain valid. This is the .com offer, not an offer for the migrated UK or FanDuel accounts.

Software during play and study

The international tools policy generally permits simple static unopened-pot starting-hand charts. Advanced GTO, ICM and equity tools are prohibited whenever its client is open, even without a table. Use the local client’s own policy if you play through another product.
