WPT Global’s Table Starter promotion rewards a particular action: being the first player to buy in and play a hand at an eligible table. GGPoker’s Ocean Rewards is a different programme. Comparing the two by one headline rakeback percentage would hide who qualifies and which play counts.

Table Starter is not ordinary table participation
Arriving after another qualifying starter does not make you the first player, even if you play the same stake for the same length of time. That distinction separates the advertised promotion from an automatic rebate on every WPT Global account.
The current promotion announcement lists High-tab NLHE $25/50/100 or CNY100/200/400 and Short Deck CNY200. Its specific terms exclude feature and insurance spending from attributed rake; settlement is Monday at 14:00 CET.
Table Starter’s exclusion of PLO4 and PLO5 removes this reward from a PLO player’s calculation. Changing format or increasing stakes merely to reach it changes the purchase rather than improving the same deal.
Keep a deposit match separate from ongoing rewards
GGPoker’s cited international release ratio means $100 of unlocked bonus requires $500 in qualifying net rake or tournament fees. The clock is 90 days from award. That says how the pending credit releases; it does not establish a personal monthly return or the bonus attached to every regional product.
Use normal planned activity to estimate a release. Then reconcile ongoing cash rewards separately, with the same fees and period. Adding a full welcome maximum to a conditional rakeback headline would describe a combination the documents have not established for your account.
A live-event goal has different expenses
WPT Global’s official overview describes WPT live-event qualification and Passport Dollars. For a specific qualifier, the award’s form matters: a seat, restricted credit and a package with travel are different purchases. Match the event and redemption deadline to a trip you could actually attend.
Consider a hypothetical seat valued at 1,000 and additional transport and accommodation of 600. Winning the seat would not make the extra 600 affordable. Apply the same full-trip budget to a GGPoker qualifier instead of treating either brand partnership as a travel allowance.
The selection rule for this pair
WPT Global’s current agreement excludes the US, Great Britain and Ontario. It therefore cannot be treated as an available alternative from those locations. A locally licensed GG account is a separate product, with its own company, domain and eligibility.
For an eligible cash player, start with the intended format: Table Starter’s action and exclusions may decide whether it belongs in the comparison at all. For a live-event goal, start with the complete ticket and travel obligations. Read the GGPoker review and WPT Global review, or use the room directory for alternatives.

Separate a documented rule from a personal payout
Under the first-player rule, $100 of eligible attributed rake produces a $40 rebate. Extra insurance and feature spending are excluded. Sitting out or reconnecting can remove starter status under the detailed rules, even though the overview describes a five-minute break allowance.
